Remote Learning

From March 23 to April 9th, you will be taking all your courses online. Consider this document a handbook or guide about the grading policies, late work policies, daily schedule, and other important information to continue getting your good grades. If you have any questions about a specific class, please reach out to that teacher individually by email or google classroom. 

 

What to Expect: 

  • Each day will be dedicated to one class and the weekly schedule is based on your regular Monday schedule. For example, if you have social studies Monday 2nd period, you will do social studies work on Tuesday. See below for your schedule.

  • Log onto google classroom and your Landmark email every day at 9AM. Be ready to video chat by 10AM on Zoom. Please make an account on www.zoom.us if you have not yet.

  • You may make online appointments with your teachers from 12:45-3PM if you have additional questions

  • Advisory meets in a video chat every Wednesday from 12:45-1:15; You must talk to your advisor at least once a week to update them on your progress with online work.

 

Grading & Late Work Policies: 

  • Each day, your teacher will assign one lesson assignment. 

  • You will get TWO grades each day: 

    • Attendance & Participation 

      • Log into the Zoom Chat everyday at 10AM for your class

      • Participate in your discussion

    • One assignment for each class, per week

      • For example: 1 SS assignment a week, 1 math assignment a week, etc. 

      • All work is on google classroom; click “TURN IN” to hand in your assignment

  • When is work due? 

    • Work is due before the next time the class meets 

    • Extra credit will be given to students who finish the work on the same day it was assigned 

  • Late Work Policy: 

    • You will get a ZERO for assignments that are late. Hand in your work to change this grade 

    • The last day to hand in any work is April 19th (the Sunday before we return to school

  • Everyday in the morning, you will focus on one class. Please check your email and google classroom for directions from your teacher. You will also get a Zoom invite for your class that day. If you can’t join your class’s online meeting, email your teacher and explain why. They will email you what you missed.

  • If your class doesn’t meet every day (for example if you have phys ed or ASL) then you will get assignments from both classes (So if you have ASL Monday 3rd, then on Wednesday, you will get assignments from both ASL and Phys Ed) 

  • For office hours, please make an appointment for a one-on-one check-in each week with your advisor

  • Green means you will be in a Google Meet phone or video call with other students and your teachers.
