Weekly News Updates concerning Landmark HS

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful break! We return to school on Wednesday, May 1.

Before break, we had a myriad of new experiences and activities before break, and I was proud of how our students exemplified our school values. Our 10th and 11th graders showed kindness, empathy and emotional maturity while visiting the 9/11 memorial at One World. At 9th grade Field Day, we joined students from other schools, building connections through friendly competition, and building better community in our school's neighborhood. 11th graders took the SAT. Showing what you know on a test that has questions geared towards all the different schools and systems across the country requires true perseverance.

Over break, many of our Jewish community members are observing the eight-day festival of Passover. Passover commemorates the biblical story of Exodus, when the ancient Israelites were liberated from slavery in Egypt. Chag Sameach to all our students, staff and families observing!

And when we return from break, I can't believe we will be entering May! May is always a packed and exciting month, with PBAT deadlines, AP exams and final projects, along with fun annual traditions like Field day and Career day. Huge thanks to the PTA and student council for planning our first fun event of May, the Spring Fling dance, which will take place the Friday we return to school. Looking forward!
