ART, IDENTITY AND CULTURE:

EXPRESSION, WELLNESS and LIBERATION

We deeply believe imagination and hope are muscles to celebrate and build a beloved community.

Landmark honors all forms of art - dancing, sports, cooking, murals, crochet, music, printmaking, gardening, henna, and more.

We affirm and amplify current art passions, practices, and dreams. We also expand horizons and skills: inviting artists to experiment  with the unknown. We explore art as  healing including  mandalas, meditative and relaxing watercolor affirmations, and making herbal medicine. Open studio days offer more opportunities for experimentation and play.

Often we integrate and deepen understanding from other disciplines.

Visual Projects include portraiture, collage, the politics of hair, calligraphy,  and more. Their process journal documents their creative journey. Everyone is encouraged to develop and orchestrate unique passion projects.

We appreciate artistic connections and resources families and students share - and welcome more. Current partnerships include  ICP: International Center of Photography and Yogiando NYC, the first fully bilingual English/Spanish yoga studio in Washington Heights.
